Lufthansa Cargo Announces Cargo Flights to/from Katowice Airport
Airline's aircraft to handle all-cargo flights connecting Frankfurt and Pyrzowice
On 3 April 2025 (Thursdaya), the first Lufthansa Cargo Airbus A321F will land at Katowice Airport. The airline's aircraft will handle all-cargo flights on the Frankfurt – Katowice Airprot – Frankfurt route. It will be a premium service, one which will expand Lufthansa Cargo's offer at Katowice Airport and, consequently, in Poland.
In accordance with the carrier's announcement, the new cargo route will be available twice a week, i.e. on every Thursday and Saturday.
In January 2021, Lufthansa Cargo launched a Road Feeder Service (RFS) freight consolidation facility for Poland in the KTW cargo terminal; it is based on transport of freight between airports by using trucks. RFS trucks are considered air transport, as each transport is assigned a flight number.
