During twelve full months of 2024, air carriers and travel agencies handled 6 386 145 passengers on regular and charter flights to/from Katowice Airport; that's 777 123 passengers more (+13.9%) than in the same time in 2023. 2024 was the best year in the history of Katowice Airport. For the first time in the airport's history, more than 6M passengers were handled in a calendar year; the record-breaking result was noted on 28 November 2024 (Thursday). Last year, record-breaking result for a single month was also noted; in August, 866 489 passengers were handled.

Wizz Air, Ryanair, LOT Polish Airlines and Air Dolomiti (the carrier handles flights for Lufthansa) handled 3 112 460 passengers on scheduled flights, i.e. 158 110 more (+5.4%) than the year before. 3 218 297 persons, 583 773 more (+22.2%) than during twelve months of 2023, were handled on charter flights, realised on behalf on travel agencies.

From January to the end of December 2024, 48 505 aircraft takeoffs and landings were noted, that's 3 338 operations more (+7.4%) than in the same time last year.
