On 28 November 2024 (Thursday), Katowice Airport handled, for the first time in its history, 6 million passengers in a single calendar year. Tomasz from Olkusz was the lucky traveller; along with his family, Tomasz travelled on holiday to Tenerife on board of Enter Air's Boeing 737-800.

The six-millionth passenger received gifts prepared by The Upper Silesian Aviation Group (GTL SA)Enter Air and Baltona SA.

Katowice Airport handled one million passengers for the first time in 2005. Two million passengers were noted in 2008, three million in 2015, four million in 2018, and five million in 2023. The current forecast estimatest that approximately seven million travellers will fly to/from Katowice Airport in 2025.
