Irish Carrier to Handle 13 Routes to/from Pyrzowice
On 16 October 2024, a press conference commemorating 5 years of Ryanair's base at Katowice Airport took place. During the event, the Irish carrier announced that during "Winter 2024/2025" three Boeing 737-800NGs will be based at the airport; they will handle 13 regular routes. For the first time in the history of Katowice Airport, Ryanair's base in Pyrzowice will comprise three machines.
Moreover, for the first time during the winter season, Ryanair aircraft will fly from Katowice Airport to Alicante, Malta and Rome-Fiumicino (all three were available during "Summer 2024"). On 29 October 2024, Ryanair will also launch flights from Katowice Airport to Reggio Calabria.
