Katowice Wojciech Korfanty International Airport in Pyrzowice is currently carrying out construction of a new car park, designation "P5." As part of the first stage of the project, the airport will gain 900 new parking spaces in the south-eastern part of the port. SILESIA INVEST Sp. z o.o. and Szmitka Kamiński Sp. k. are contractors responsible for the investment. The project is valued at PLN 10.5M net.

Car Park P5 will be fully illuminated and equipped with advanced parking system. The Upper Silesian Aviation Group (GTL S.A.) - the company managing Katowice Airport - will provide free transportation between the new car park and passenger terminals.

The first stage of the construction of Car Park P5 is scheduled to conclude in the second quarter of 2025. Consequently, throughout the "Summer 2025" season, Katowice Airport will have approx. 6,700 available parking spaces.

The second stage of the investment will see 1,100 additional parking spaces put into service; It will begin in 2025. Moreover, next year, expansion of car park P1 by 400 parking spaces and expansion of car park P4 by 450 parking spaces will take place. The new parking spaces will be put into use during "Summer 2026."
