In the eighth month of 2024, Katowice Wojciech Korfanty Airport in Pyrzowice noted 866 489 served passengers, i.e. 90 437 more (+11.6%) in comparison with August 2023, and 19 079 more (+2.2%) than in July 2024, which thus far was the best month in the airport's history.

325 890 passengers, i.e. 23 442 more (+7.7%) than the year before, were handled on scheduled flights, which are operated by Wizz Air, Ryanair, LOT Polish Airlines and Air Dolomiti/Lufthansa. Flights to Dortmund, London-Luton,London-Stansted, Eindhoven and Frankfurt were the most popular ones.

In August 2024, 537 523 passengers were noted on charter flights, which are realised on behalf of travel agencies; that's 65 313 passengers more (+13.8%) than in the eighth month of 2023. Most often, passengers travelled on holiday from Katowice Airport to Antalya, Hurghada, Marsa Alam, Djerba and Burgas.

From January to the end of August 2024, Katowice Airport in Pyrzowice served 4 329 808 passengers, i.e. 551 252 more (+14.6%) than the year before.
