In June 2024, airlines handled 749 177 passengers at Katowice Airport, i.e. 90 205 more (+13.7%) than in the same time in 2023. It was the best sixth month in the history of Katowice Airport; the previous record for this period was noted last year, when carries handled 658 972 persons.

Wizz Air, Ryanair, LOT Polish Airlines and Air Dolomiti/Lufthansa carried 285 222 passengers on regular routes to/from Katowice Airport, i.e. 16 020 more (+5.9%) than in 2023. Travellers most often chose scheduled flights between Katowice Airport and Dortmund, London-Luton, London-Stansted, Catania and Milan-Bergamo.

During the sixth month of 2024, 462 285 persons, i.e. 73 603 more (+18.9%) than in June 2023, were served on charter flights, which are handled for travel agencies. Most popular during that time were holiday flights from Katowice Airport to Antalya, Hurghada, Marsa Alam, Heraklion and Djerba.

From January to the end of June, air carriers handled 2 615 909 passengers at Katowice Airport, i.e. 369 964 more (+16.5%) than during the first six months of 2023.
